Our focus is to bring attention to the vast ecosystems of the forest including mushrooms, lichens, and slime molds. We want to encourage photographers to use their imaginations to showcase the acres of preserved land in the Hopewell Valley area. Take a walk in the woods and focus on your vision of forest treasures! All amateur and professional photographers are encourage to submit photographs!

Our natural environment plays a critical role in our everyday lives. It sustains the air we breathe, the food we eat and water we drink. It is also where we go to escape the hectic pace of our modern lives by walking through the woods, riding our bikes or showing our children the diversity of the natural world.

The Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space is a not-for-profit land trust passionately committed to protecting the quality of life for people throughout the Hopewell Valley region. We believe that protecting the land, and its resources, is one of the best ways to ensure that our families and future generations are shielded from over development, pollution and the decay of our fragile ecosystem.

We encourage you to tell fellow artists about our Photo Contest and an opportunity to explore the woodlands of Hopewell Valley.
